Chapter 01
Start with who is travelling and why
The right format depends on the students’ ages, school calendar, group size and learning goal. SEDA Summer’s current catalogue includes junior summer programmes, school mini-stays, a Cork high-school integration programme and Dublin sector study tours.
Chapter 02
Junior summer: English and activities in four centres
The junior summer programmes are for ages 11–17 in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway. Published programme information lists 15 hours of English lessons each week and a maximum of 16 students per class. Accommodation and centre details differ, so check the page for the city you are considering.
Chapter 03
Mini-stays: a school-group option outside July and August
SEDA Summer lists mini-stays in Dublin and Cork for groups of at least 15 students. They can run from 5 nights to 4 weeks and are planned outside July and August, when the junior summer programme is in session. Ask the team to confirm dates and arrangements for your group.
Chapter 04
Two more formats for a specific learning focus
- High School Integration Cork: for ages 11–17, with a one-week English preparation course at SEDA Cork followed by two weeks at a local Irish secondary school. Confirm the school calendar and details for your dates.
- Sector Study Tours: Dublin-based study tours shaped around a school group’s subject interests. The programme page lists seven fields of focus and describes a typical duration of 8 nights; details are agreed with each group.
Chapter 05
Make the first enquiry easy to answer
Include the students’ ages, approximate numbers, preferred dates, centre and the reason for the trip. If you are unsure which format fits, say what students hope to learn; the team can clarify the details that apply to each option.
