Chapter 01
The published weekly lesson commitment
SEDA Summer junior programme information lists 15 hours of English lessons per week. The published maximum class size is 16 students. These figures help families compare programmes, but the detailed timetable should still be checked for the specific centre and dates.
Chapter 02
Placement is based on English level
The programme information describes CEFR-based lessons and a placement test on arrival, after which students are placed by level. This helps set a starting point for the class; it does not mean every student follows the same lesson plan or has the same learning goals.
If your child has studied English before, share their current level or learning priorities with the team. Ask which placement details apply to the programme you are considering.
Chapter 03
Questions worth asking before you choose
- How are the lesson times arranged around the programme activities?
- When and how is the placement test completed for these dates?
- What is the maximum class size at the selected centre?
- What should the student bring or prepare for lessons?
Chapter 04
Match the programme to the student
Age, dates and centre all matter when checking whether a programme is a good fit. Include those details in your enquiry, along with any questions about English level or classroom support, so the team can give an answer for the option you are considering.
