    Chapter 01

Check that the programme fits your child’s age

SEDA Summer junior programmes are designed for students aged 11–17. When comparing programmes, check the stated age range and ask how the group is organised for the student’s age and level.

If a school, agency or parent is enquiring on a student’s behalf, include the student’s age and who will be responsible for the booking and travel arrangements.

    Chapter 02

Ask what the learning week includes

SEDA Summer’s junior programme information states 15 hours of English lessons per week and a maximum of 16 students per class. Ask how lessons are placed, what materials are included and how the timetable fits around activities for the specific centre and dates.

A good comparison looks beyond the headline number of lesson hours. Confirm what the programme includes for your dates, how students are supported outside class and which details are still subject to confirmation.

    Chapter 03

    Understand the whole stay

A summer programme is also a travel and care arrangement. Before booking, ask about accommodation options, meals, arrival and departure plans, the day-to-day contact for your group and how the team handles information such as allergies or accessibility needs.

The available arrangement can vary by centre and programme. Request the details for the exact option you are considering rather than assuming that all centres provide the same accommodation or schedule.

    Chapter 04

Use these questions when you enquire

    • Which centre and dates are available for the student’s age?
    • What is included in the weekly English programme?
    • What accommodation and meal details apply to those dates?
    • How are group leaders and families kept informed?
    • Which information should be shared before arrival?

    Chapter 05

Get an answer for your dates

Programme details can depend on the centre, dates and group arrangement. A quote request lets the SEDA Summer team respond to the student’s particular situation instead of relying on a general estimate.

Include the student’s age, preferred centre, possible dates and any important needs. If you are still comparing locations, say so; the team can help clarify what to check next.
